Whether 2258 was the only bus still in the livery predating the white, red and French blue at the end of 2000 is unknown, but its appearance was a surprise. It is seen on the 499 in Burwood.

Registered WAR999 was another 'old colours' Mercedes, clearly no longer in the operational fleet. It was in rally concours condition and was seen 'assisting' with a Volvo sponsored yachting event heading out from Manly harbour, which is in the background.

 Back in 1989 a pair of Mercedes, 2356 and 1999, are seen together at Millers Point.
