Probably to cope with the extra pressures of the rail replacement work three more Mercedes O405NH buses were acquired in 2019. This Volgren CR221L model, 109 (2238AO) was acquired from Ryans where it was 38.

This is one of the other two Volgren CR225L bodied Mercedes acquired from Simes of Lismore, NSW, but new to Transperth. Now 108 (BS05JW) the bus was 33 (7924MO) with Lismore and 1141 (TP1141) in WA.

The intensity of the rail replacement operation is evident here as six vehicles merge on to the Dandenong Highway from the St Kilda Junction at Windsor. Nuline's earlier Transperth acquisition, 82 (BS04EZ), ironically former 1142 (TP1142) is seen with another Transperth Mercedes O405NH from T2B, Nuline's own B7R/Endura 63 (BS01AN), two Ventura Volgren SC222 semi coaches and a further unidentified Transperth Mercedes which could be from Alpine Spirit, Sandhu Buslines or Dysons. What passengers - or customers, as Metrotrains like to refer to them - think to being transported on twenty year old second hand buses during the hiatus of level crossing removal works and Metrotunnel excavations for weeks on end is not recorded.
