Having displaced the Mercedes from the L90 and associated Northern Beach routes, the batch of Volvo artics continued with replacements for the L82 (Circular Quay - Bondi Beach - Watsons Bay). This limited stop service used assorted rigid vehicles from the fleet. The new 333 "Pre Pay Only" service runs express between the City and Bondi, the old 380 City - Bondi all stops route being extended to Watsons Bay. Here is 1725 (MO1725) with its distinctive yellow signs, arriving at Bondi in January 2007.

Pre Pay tickets are not dispensed by kerb side machines, but can be obtained from Stations and newsagents, or day trip tickets are purchasble on other buses. Back to Ferry replacement on Boxing Day, and the first of the Pre Pay Volvos, 1700 (MO1700), is seen approaching Manly Wharf "OPERATING FOR SYDNEY FERRIES". The usual yellow signs are removable as are the "only" boards, thus making the bus a suitable advert for speeding any service by "pre pay". Several Volvos were used as such as peak hour service duplicates to and from other parts of the city.
